Joseph (Joe) Koloc

Personal and Professional Experience

Lake Wales Rehabilitation Specialist

Joe is a lifetime resident of Lake Wales, FL received a Master’s in Physical Therapy from the University of Central Florida in 2002 as well as his MBA from Webber International University. Joe has worked with patients who have sustained spinal cord injuries, orthopedic surgeries or injuries, pediatrics and those with neurological injuries. Joe opened and began managing Core Rehabilitation in 2013 and is excited to bring his nearly 20 years of clinical and management experience to help patients achieve all their rehabilitation goals.

Professional Associations/Interest

Joe is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association has served on Keiser Universities Lakeland Campus Physical Therapy Assistant Clinical Review Committee. Joe has a special interest in researching and understanding the changing economy in the US and in particular changes in reimbursement affecting the delivery of healthcare to the residents of Polk County, Florida.

Diana is a lifetime resident of Lake Wales and has been married nearly 20 years and has had 6 children. Prior to becoming administration manager at Core Rehabilitation Diana opened, and operated two businesses in the health and beauty industry. She sold these businesses to devote more time to her family in 2007 after more than 15 years in this industry. Diana was passionate about managing her businesses and enjoyed interacting with her clients and greatly missed these relationships. Diana attended both Polk State College as well as Warner University earning an Associate degree in Liberal Arts as well as a Bachelor's degree in Organizational Management. Diana has volunteered at a local hospital, as well as political rally’s and is a table leader for a Bible Study for Women as well as a member of the support group SOBBS. Diana does a lot of behind the scenes work at Core Rehabilitation and we are thankful for all that she contributes to make Core Rehabilitation run smoothly.

Merlin Aparicio - Office Manager

Personal and Professional Experience

Lake Wales Injury Rehabilitation

Merlin grew up in the Bronx, and has been in Florida for the past 18 years. She is a proud mother of two children and is bilingual speaking both English and Spanish fluently. Merlin has attended the University of Phoenix for Health Care Administration while raising her family and she has worked in various industries over the years in both South Florida and right here in Lake Wales. During her past employments she has always striven to challenge herself to learn multiple jobs simultaneously including reception and administration of front office, as well as inventory control, while always being conscious of the need to provide excellent customer service. She has given back to her community while volunteering during the last two years at the Lake Wales Public Library and other organizations such as her children’s schools and her Church. She is a critical member of Core Rehabilitation and she will be happy to schedule you for therapy or answer your questions regarding your insurance coverage or other administrative questions patients may have.
